Cirrus SR22 — Airworthiness Directives & records checklist

Known trouble spots on the SR22
The Cirrus Airframe Parachute System requires a scheduled repack and rocket-motor replacement (historically ~10 years). An overdue CAPS repack is a large deferred cost and an airworthiness item — confirm the last repack date and next-due.
Many Hartzell and McCauley constant-speed props carry blade-shank or hub ADs plus a calendar/hours overhaul interval; blade corrosion and hub grease leaks are common findings. Confirm the prop AD status and last overhaul against the interval.
Cirrus singles have a history of secondary-alternator (ALT 2) and master-control-unit faults, and of brake overheating from taxi braking that has started wheel-pant fires. Confirm ALT 2 / MCU service history and any brake / wheel-pant heat inspection.
