Beech 35R — Airworthiness Directives & records checklist
7 Beech 35Rs are on the U.S. registry. Here’s what a records review covers for one — the Airworthiness Directives that apply, the known trouble spots, and the checklist a buyer or owner should hold every logbook against.

Known trouble spots on the 35R
V-tail Bonanzas have a history of ruddervator magnesium-skin cracking and a leading-edge cuff / forward-spar-carry-through AD after in-flight tail failures. Confirm the recurring ruddervator and forward-spar inspections.
Beech electric retractable gear relies on a 'no-back' spring and gearbox whose wear can let the gear collapse or fail to extend. Look for no-back spring replacement, gearbox service, and gear rigging / emergency-extension checks.
Bonanza/Baron fuel bladder cells stiffen and crack with age, causing leaks and trapped water. Look for fuel-cell replacement, leak checks, and fuel-quantity sender service.
Many Hartzell and McCauley constant-speed props carry blade-shank or hub ADs plus a calendar/hours overhaul interval; blade corrosion and hub grease leaks are common findings. Confirm the prop AD status and last overhaul against the interval.
