Airworthiness Directive 2009-15-07
one-timeAirworthiness Directives; Airbus Model A319, A320, and A321 Series Airplanes
What this AD requires
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as:
Which aircraft AD 2009-15-07 applies to
Applies only to airplanes equipped with one conventional pre-Enhanced Manufacture and Maintainability (pre-EMM) Braking and Steering Control Unit (BSCU) having part number C20216332292C (standard 7, installed by Airbus Mod 24449 in production or SB A320-32-1124 in service), C202163372D32 (standard 9, installed by Mod 31106 in production or SB A320-32-1227/A320-32-1232 in service), or C202163382D32 (standard 9.1, installed by Mod 32500 in production or SB A320-32-1254 in service).
Whether AD 2009-15-07 actually applies to your aircraft (by serial and installed parts) and whether it’s already complied with comes from that aircraft’s records.
How AD compliance is recorded
A valid compliance record (14 CFR 43.9) states:
Tailplate reads a tail number’s logbooks and matches every applicable AD — including this one — to its compliance evidence, with recurring next-due dates computed.
Look up a tail number →Read the full directive (Federal Register)Applicability is derived from the FAA directive corpus and is advisory, not a legal airworthiness determination. Compliance is established only from an aircraft’s actual records.
