What this AD requires
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as:
Which aircraft AD 2008-02-03 applies to
Applies to airplanes that have not incorporated PILATUS PC-12 Service Bulletin No. 32-020 (dated July 24, 2007) in its entirety, and that have one or more of: specified main landing gear assemblies delivered before December 31, 2006; specified special bolts delivered before December 31, 2006; or specified modification kits delivered before December 31, 2006. Concern: possible hydrogen embrittlement in MLG special bolts with serial numbers starting AT or supplier code AT, which could lead to MLG collapse.
