Airworthiness Directive 2008-24-10
one-timeAirworthiness Directives; Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. JT15D-5; -5B; -5F; and -5R Turbofan Engines
What this AD requires
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as follows:
Which aircraft AD 2008-24-10 applies to
Applies only to engines with compressor air to HMU delivery tube, P/N 3119150-01, installed: (1) JT15D-5 engines SN at or below PCE-100411; (2) JT15D-5 engines SN at or below PCE-JA0818; (3) all JT15D-5B engines; (4) all JT15D-5F engines; (5) JT15D-5R engines SN at or below PCE-JG0104; (6) JT15D-5 engines converted to JT15D-5R via P&WC SB No. 7605. Installed on, but not limited to, Hawker Beechcraft models 400, 400A, and 400T airplanes.
Whether AD 2008-24-10 actually applies to your aircraft (by serial and installed parts) and whether it’s already complied with comes from that aircraft’s records.
How AD compliance is recorded
A valid compliance record (14 CFR 43.9) states:
Tailplate reads a tail number’s logbooks and matches every applicable AD — including this one — to its compliance evidence, with recurring next-due dates computed.
Look up a tail number →Read the full directive (Federal Register)Applicability is derived from the FAA directive corpus and is advisory, not a legal airworthiness determination. Compliance is established only from an aircraft’s actual records.
