What this AD requires

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to certain Airbus Model A300-600 and A310 series airplanes. This action requires revising the Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) to instruct the flightcrew to crosscheck certain primary power setting parameters of the Thrust Control Computer (TCC) against tables of these values; and apply corrective action, if necessary. This amendment also provides for optional terminating action for the AFM revision. This amendment is prompted by issuance of mandatory continuing airworthiness information by a foreign civil airworthiness authority. The actions specified in this AD are intended to ensure that the flightcrew is provided with procedures for crosschecking and correcting certain primary power setting parameters of the TCC; incorrect parameters could result in insufficient thrust being applied during takeoff.
