Applies to R-2800 Series (Military) and R-985 Series (all) Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp engine models. After engine operation, if cylinder mounting pad studs fail the cylinder should be scrapped or rebarreled and all studs replaced; if only two adjacent studs failed or two adjacent nuts loosened, a limited repair is permitted per the referenced text.
