Airworthiness Directive 2014-12-02
one-timeAirworthiness Directives; Dassault Aviation Airplanes
What this AD requires
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Dassault Aviation Model FALCON 2000 and FALCON 2000EX airplanes. This AD was prompted by a determination that new center of gravity (CG) limits are applicable during takeoff with certain conditions. This AD requires revising the airplane flight manual (AFM) to include procedures to advise the flightcrew of the new CG limits. We are issuing this AD to prevent an erratic takeoff path and consequent reduced controllability of the airplane.
Which aircraft AD 2014-12-02 applies to
Applies to (1) FALCON 2000EX airplanes on which Dassault modification M2846 or Technical Instruction TI-F2000EX-M2846-ME or TI-F2000EX-M3118/M2846-ME has been embodied for winglet installation (including the airplane with serial number 602), and (2) FALCON 2000 and FALCON 2000EX airplanes modified by Aviation Partners Incorporated STC ST01987SE (winglet installation); excludes FALCON 2000EX airplanes on which Dassault modification M3254 or Dassault Service Bulletin F2000EX-300, Revision 1, has been embodied.
Whether AD 2014-12-02 actually applies to your aircraft (by serial and installed parts) and whether it’s already complied with comes from that aircraft’s records.
How AD compliance is recorded
A valid compliance record (14 CFR 43.9) states:
Tailplate reads a tail number’s logbooks and matches every applicable AD — including this one — to its compliance evidence, with recurring next-due dates computed.
Look up a tail number →Read the full directive (Federal Register)Applicability is derived from the FAA directive corpus and is advisory, not a legal airworthiness determination. Compliance is established only from an aircraft’s actual records.
