Airworthiness Directive 2013-00525
one-timeAirworthiness Directives; Lycoming Engines and Continental Motors, Inc. Reciprocating Engines
What this AD requires
The FAA is correcting an airworthiness directive (AD) that published in the Federal Register. That AD applies to Lycoming Engines TSIO-540-AK1A, and Continental Motors, Inc. TSIO-360-MB, TSIO-360-SB, and TSIO-360-RB reciprocating engines, with certain Hartzell Engine Technologies (HET) turbochargers, model TA0411, part number 466642- 0001; 466642-0002; 466642-0006; 466642-9001; 466642-9002; or 466642- 9006, or with certain HET model TA0411 turbochargers overhauled or repaired since August 29, 2012. The Summary paragraph and the Applicability paragraph list an incorrect engine model for Lycoming Engines. This document corrects those errors. In all other respects, the original document remains the same.
Which aircraft AD 2013-00525 applies to
Applies only to engines with specific turbochargers installed; the source text's turbocharger part-number list was truncated (cut off by a page/table break in the sourced document) and could not be captured.
Whether AD 2013-00525 actually applies to your aircraft (by serial and installed parts) and whether it’s already complied with comes from that aircraft’s records.
How AD compliance is recorded
A valid compliance record (14 CFR 43.9) states:
Tailplate reads a tail number’s logbooks and matches every applicable AD — including this one — to its compliance evidence, with recurring next-due dates computed.
Look up a tail number →Read the full directive (Federal Register)Applicability is derived from the FAA directive corpus and is advisory, not a legal airworthiness determination. Compliance is established only from an aircraft’s actual records.
