What this AD requires

We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Sicma Aero Seat 88xx, 89xx, 90xx, 91xx, 92xx, 93xx, 95xx, and 96xx series passenger seat assemblies, installed on various transport category airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. Applies to passenger seat assemblies identified in Annex 1, Issue 2 (dated March 19, 2004) of Sicma Aero Seat Service Bulletin 90-25-013, Issue 4, that have backrest links P/N 90-000200-104-1 and 90-000200-104-2. Excludes series 9140, 9166, 9173, 9174, 9184, 9188, 9196, 91B7, 91B8, 91C0, 91C2, 91C4, 91C5, 9301, and 9501. Installed on, but not limited to, Airbus A300/A310/A318/A319/A320/A321; ATR42-200/-300/-320/-500 and ATR72 series; Boeing 727, 737, 747, 757, 767 series; Bombardier CL-600-1A11/-2A12/-2B16, CL-600-2B19, CL-600-2C10, CL-600-2D15, CL-600-2D24, and DHC-8-100/-200/-300/-400; Fokker F.27 and F.28 series; and Boeing (McDonnell Douglas legacy) DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, and MD-11 series airplanes.
