What this AD requires

We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. A330 (all listed models) and A340-311/-312/-313: applies to manufacturer serial numbers with Modification 49144 (install electrical rudder) embodied in production, except those with Modification 58118 or Modification 200667 embodied in production. A340-541/-642: applies to all manufacturer serial numbers, except those with Modification 200667 embodied in production.
