What this AD requires
This document publishes in the Federal Register an amendment adopting airworthiness directive (AD) 2010-02-05 that was sent previously by individual notices to the known U.S. owners and operators of affected airplanes identified above. This AD requires modifying the flight deck door. This AD was prompted by a report indicating that certain equipment of the flight deck door is defective. We are issuing this AD to prevent failure of this equipment, which could jeopardize flight safety.
Which aircraft AD 2010-02-05 applies to
Applies where the specified Airbus production modification has been embodied, or the specified Airbus Service Bulletin embodied in service, by group: A300/A310 (mod 12558, 12640, or 12715, or SB A310-25-2143/A300-25-6169/A310-25-2147/A300-25-0472/A300-25-6173); A318/A319/A320/A321 (mod 32088 or SB A320-25-1287/1305/1282, except airplanes with mod 150816); A330 (mod 50014 or SB A330-25-3161/3159, except airplanes with mod 200446); A340 (mod 50014 or SB A340-25-4181/4178, except airplanes with mod 200446); A380 (all manufacturer serial numbers except those with mod 69512).
Whether AD 2010-02-05 actually applies to your aircraft (by serial and installed parts) and whether it’s already complied with comes from that aircraft’s records.
How AD compliance is recorded
A valid compliance record (14 CFR 43.9) states:
Tailplate reads a tail number’s logbooks and matches every applicable AD — including this one — to its compliance evidence, with recurring next-due dates computed.
Look up a tail number →Read the full directive (Federal Register)Applicability is derived from the FAA directive corpus and is advisory, not a legal airworthiness determination. Compliance is established only from an aircraft’s actual records.
