Airworthiness Directive 01-7962
one-timeAirworthiness Directives: Dowty Aerospace Propellers Model R381/6-123-F/5 Propellers, Correction
What this AD requires
This document makes a correction to Airworthiness Directive (AD) 99-18-18 R1 applicable to Dowty Aerospace Propellers model R381/6- 123-F/5 propellers that was published in the Federal Register on March 15, 2001 (66 FR 15022). Under PART 39--AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES, in paragraph 2, a part of that sentence was inadvertently repeated. Also, the amendment number was inadvertently omitted from one of the two locations where it appears in the regulatory section. This document corrects these typographical errors. In all other respects, the original document remains the same.
Which aircraft AD 01-7962 applies to
Whether AD 01-7962 actually applies to your aircraft (by serial and installed parts) and whether it’s already complied with comes from that aircraft’s records.
How AD compliance is recorded
A valid compliance record (14 CFR 43.9) states:
Tailplate reads a tail number’s logbooks and matches every applicable AD — including this one — to its compliance evidence, with recurring next-due dates computed.
Look up a tail number →Read the full directive (Federal Register)Applicability is derived from the FAA directive corpus and is advisory, not a legal airworthiness determination. Compliance is established only from an aircraft’s actual records.
